Sylhet Agricultural University Admission Guide 2026-27

Sylhet Agricultural University is a public agricultural university serving the Sylhet region. It is known for education and research in agriculture, veterinary medicine, animal science, fisheries and related life-science fields. Students from Sylhet and neighbouring districts often consider it because it combines a specialised agricultural curriculum with a regional campus environment.

Sylhet Agricultural University admission date 2026-27

The 2026-27 undergraduate application timetable has not been treated as confirmed in this guide as of October 2, 2026. The last completed agriculture-cluster cycle for 2025-26 held its admission test on January 3, 2026. That historical date helps explain the usual season but is not a promise about the new cycle.

Students should wait for a notice that states the academic session, application window, fee, eligibility and test date together. A social-media image without a notice number or official link is not enough to confirm a deadline.

Academic areas and student fit

Sylhet Agricultural University is a good option for students interested in the science of food production and living systems. Depending on the published prospectus and department availability, relevant areas may include agriculture, veterinary and animal science, fisheries, agricultural economics and related biological disciplines.

Consider Sylhet Agricultural University if you prefer a focused agricultural campus, want to study outside Dhaka, or are interested in careers in research, livestock, fisheries, extension, food security or rural development. Review the current curriculum, laboratory facilities, residence arrangements and department list before making a final preference order.

Eligibility checklist

The final circular will determine the accepted SSC and HSC years, minimum combined GPA, subject-specific grades, science-subject requirements and quota conditions. Agriculture admissions generally require a science background, but applicants must follow the exact wording of the current notice.

Prepare digital and printed copies of your academic information, recent photograph, signature and payment details. Use the same spelling of your name and parents'' names as your certificates. Errors in the online form can create problems during verification.

Study strategy

1. Finish the HSC textbook chapters first, especially Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

1. Practise MCQs with a timer and review every incorrect answer.

1. Make a short formula and terminology notebook for Chemistry and Physics.

1. Revise Biology diagrams, definitions and classification topics from the textbook.

1. Follow the final prospectus for the exact mark distribution and negative-marking rule.

Common questions

When will the Sylhet Agricultural University 2026-27 circular be released?

No confirmed date is stated here because the official 2026-27 timetable was not available in the information reviewed as of October 2, 2026. The official university notice board is the safest source.

Can I use the January 3, 2026 date for planning?

Only as a reference to the previous 2025-26 cycle. Do not book travel or pay an application fee based on that old date.

Is Sylhet Agricultural University only for students from Sylhet?

No. Eligibility and admission are governed by the official national or cluster rules, not by a student''s home district, unless a specific quota is published.

Always verify the final circular, fee and test-centre list at sau.ac.bd. You can also monitor the admission dates section for published updates.
