Khulna Agricultural University Admission Guide 2026-27

Khulna Agricultural University (KAU) is a public agricultural university in Khulna. It was created to expand higher education and research in agriculture and related disciplines in the south-western region of Bangladesh. As a newer specialised university, KAU is especially relevant to students who want an agricultural campus closer to Khulna and the coastal south-west.

KAU admission date 2026-27

As of October 2, 2026, the 2026-27 undergraduate application window, fee and admission test date should be marked not officially announced. The previous agriculture-cluster cycle for 2025-26 used January 3, 2026 for the admission test. That is a past date, not the upcoming KAU examination date.

The KAU admission page and the official agriculture-cluster notice should be checked together. The final notice will tell applicants whether the university is included in the current cluster process and how preference selection works.

Why choose KAU?

Khulna''s agricultural context includes coastal environments, salinity, fisheries, livestock and climate-related production challenges. Students interested in agriculture, fisheries, food security, agricultural technology, rural development or environmental resilience may find the university''s regional focus valuable.

Before choosing KAU, compare the available departments, curriculum, teacher and laboratory information, accommodation, transport and the latest seat list. Newer universities may expand programmes over time, so an older guide can become outdated quickly.

Eligibility and application rules

Do not copy a GPA cut-off or application fee from an unrelated year. The current prospectus will confirm the SSC and HSC pass-year rules, science-subject requirements, combined GPA, quota documents, application fee and test syllabus.

Applicants should create their application account only through a link published by KAU or the official admission authority. Save the payment receipt and application ID. After submitting, check the correction window and download the admit card when it becomes available.

KAU preparation plan

• Study the HSC syllabus in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

• Practise agriculture admission MCQs under time pressure.

• Read the official mark distribution before choosing how to divide revision time.

• Keep travel plans flexible until the test centre and date are confirmed.

• Prepare backup preferences across public agricultural universities.
